纏，一溜仔

珮舒的音樂生命中佈滿蜿蜒纏繞的髮夾彎客家的“老山歌”成就了第一個轉角處我曾在荷蘭Eindhoven音樂廳Muziekgebouw哼唱著感受到他們求知於歌詞背後故事的內涵與精神我曾在維也納費爾斯特宮Palais Ferstel哼唱著感受到他們震攝於客家文化藝術的豪邁與開闊我曾在突尼西亞突尼斯Mahdia Culture Center哼唱著感受到他們欣賞東方客家語言文字的韻律美而這些客家人過往經歷的情感等待有著希臘神話般動容 猶如百花齊放般誘人“老山歌”一點都不老，它可以很現代、很潮、很美「纏，一溜仔」這張專輯裡每一首歌，都融入了纏繞著我的音樂血液，對我來說，一首首都像是有著“羅馬假期”浪漫光景，有著糾葛情長故事情節，又像是短篇小說般，令人流連忘返。它可以是愛情喜劇片、溫馨親子片、武打動作片、社會寫實片，在那些情境穿插關於愛情的獨白，用不同的表現手法，將其置於片段裡。如同「纏，一溜仔」裡，有曖曖內斂的、有大膽直述的、有默默隱喻的、也有回憶過往的抒發，更有我對它的無限遐想。用我的筆觸賦予客家想像想要做一張傳統專輯，已經醞釀超過十年之久吧!因為這些是老祖宗留下來的稀世珍寶，它記錄了早期客家的社會狀況、文化與生活，它唱出了客家女性內心的百轉千迴，我想把它用我的方式記錄下來，在飽受時代洗滌下賦予新的詮釋，為自己留下一份感動包含了尊敬。「纏，一溜仔」分為四個樂章「祈」、「待」、「想」、「憶」，四種面對情感不同階段的心情，珮舒以一個跨越世紀的女性觀點，散文式揮灑筆觸下話情長，在數位化電子金屬質地的聲音世代，回看客家傳統女性的思慕與情愁。有時可能是當事者、有時可能是旁觀者、有時卻跳脫到另一個時空，唱出每一首屬於自己詮釋與想像的歌，獻給聆聽歌曲的你/妳們……。My path of the music career is full of hairpin turns.The Hakka “Old Mountain Songs” accomplished the first corner.I’ve sung in the Muziekgebouw Frits Philips Concert Hall in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.There I felt their desire to know the connotation and spirit of the lyrics.I’ve sung in Palais Ferstel in Vienna.There I felt their amazement of the open nature of Hakka art and culture.I’ve sung in the Mahdia Culture Center in Tunis, Tunisia.There I felt their appreciation of the beauty of Hakka rhythm.These experiences and feelings are surging. "Old Mountain Songs" are not old at all.They are as fascinating as Greek mythology.They are as attractive as flowers in bloom.They can be very modern, very trendy, and very beautiful."Twine and Linger"To me, each song in this album is infused with my blood and spirit. Each is either as a romantic scene in "Roman Holiday," an entangled plot, or a lingering story. It can be a comedy film, a family film, an action film, or a social reality film. In these various contexts, I placed monologues about love with different techniques of expression. Some are introverted, some are bold and straightforward, some are metaphorical, some are memories of the past, and some are my infinite imaginations.Imagine Hakka with my brushstrokesMy intention to make a traditional album has been brewing for more than ten years! The Old Mountain Songs are the rare treasures passing down by ancestors. They reflect the social conditions, culture, and life of the early Hakka people. They reserve the innumerable twisted and turned emotions of the Hakka women. I want to record them in my way with new interpretations of the times to express my gratitude and respect for the tradition."Twine and Linger" is divided into four movements: "Pray," "Wait," "Think," and "Recall," the four kinds of moods facing towards different stages of love. In the era of digital electronic music with metal textures, from a turn-of-the-century female perspective, I look back at the thoughts and feelings of the traditional Hakka women, and turn them into my essay-style expressions. Sometimes it may be a first-person narrative, sometimes it may be from the angle of a bystander, and sometimes it may be a glance from another time and space. I sing each song with my own interpretation and imagination, and sincerely dedicate the album to you.
