離島

離島，離群孤島，離別母島，離散之島。生而無根的人，在原生島嶼上流浪。說是故鄉，島民卻又感覺身處異處；說是異地，卻又對處境感到貼身的熟悉。像是解離著感受不到自己的身體，我們棲身，確不知道自身的土地。離島之民，不停感受著熟悉的荒蕪，與陌生的親密。星空籠罩，黑潮環繞，我們倖存創傷自卑，昂頭挺胸退暗趨光，埋首操勞起造家國。離散，離群，的離世之島，亦是良棲。Offshore Island: An Insular Departure. This album is a series of portraits that describe departure. Here, departure is manifested in two distinct manners. The first one: alienation between men and their native land. When a people is deprived of their mother tongue, nationhood, and names, they are souls without identity, wanderers on their homeland. Thus, the schizophrenic sprits departs from their situation. The second form of departure is as its literal meaning: to leave. It is a common ritual for us to sacrifice our well being of the present, in order to gain fruitfulness in the future. This state of well being is the present security, home; to sacrifice home, we leap ourselves into the unknown, believing all will progress. This leap is an insular departure. Under the stars and surrounded by Kuroshio, we survived our traumas and complexes, standing firm like an offshore island.
