《踢霹歐爵士大樂團》成立於2020年5月的踢霹歐爵士大樂團，是由一群致力將復古美國爵士精神帶進二十一世紀的國際專業樂手們所組成。最初專注於演出《美國早期歌曲錄》的作品，但隨著樂團的演化和擴張，踢霹歐現在已經具備各種不同的編制，演出曲目和風格也擴大涵蓋到拉丁、當代R&B、流行樂曲，甚至原創作品。創始人與指揮高杰 (Jim Geddes) 創辦踢霹歐的初衷是希望能增進音樂與人類互動的體驗跟連結，而在這個過程中也不斷帶領團員們在各方面持續地進步。Stan Kenton （1911-1979 爵士鋼琴家、大樂團指揮、作曲家）曾經說過：「一個大樂團是一群音樂家，因為對於某種音樂有信念而聚集在一起 [...] 大家為了共同的目標和理想而演奏，而並非著重在表現個人的音樂成就上。」這就是踢霹歐的我們最希望能達成的：匯集一個具備國際水準的樂團並為所有人帶來最棒的表演、最棒的聲響、最棒的體驗。《TPO Big Band》Created in May 2020, TPO is an international group of professional musicians that brings the spirit and sound of vintage American jazz into 21st century Taipei. TPO was originally created as a 20-piece big band presenting music from the Early American Songbook. It was not recorded until 1944, by Coleman Hawkins, with an all-star band of first generation bebop pioneers, including the great Max Roach on drums. It was originally played by Zy the Way on their debut EP “A Different Destiny.” This version features Matthew Fullen on piano and Derrick Lin on Double Bass along with vocalist Cait Lin. 《小星》一曲的創作靈感，來自於約三千年前集結成冊的《詩經》。其詞意在訴說一位傳信的兵官，執行公務所需，常穿梭於山麓之間、披星戴月，引發他省思生命的意義。此曲原版收錄於中庸樂團（Zy the Way)於2020年發行的首張EP -《實命不同》。3. In this chamber, gravity, oxygen and time are all different from the outer world. Training inside speeds up the warrior’s transformation into Super Saiyans to defend all from evil. This piece was written with the idea that a jazz musician’s practice session is similar to being in their own “Hyperbolic Time Chamber” so that one day they will become super jazz Saiyans.「精神時光屋」只存在於七龍珠（鳥山明）中。在時光屋中，其中的重力，氧氣與時間都與外界不同。在時光屋中訓練可以加速戰士成為超級賽亞人。我想爵士樂手鎮日練習和時光屋的理念十分相近，都是同為期許自己能早日成為爵士賽亞人吧 r4.
