Sometimes shallow, sometimes deep,
Sometimes it’s a raging thunderstorm
sometimes it’s delicate silk
Caressing the inside parts of my being
Suddenly it’s a gentle
Summer breeze, a lullaby I’ve known
Since the first breath that I took
So, I close my eyes and wait for it to pass
My body sways with the tide
Even when I seem still, I’m moving
To the rhythm of the drops
Between all those shapes, forms and uncertainty
The universe rises and
Passes away inside me softly
Taking a step closer to
Calming the raging tempest inside my chest
I exhale, the warm air leaving my mouth
Carries the weight of a lifetime of my short inhales
To be gently washed away by the tide
To feel utterly, completely one with the river
