Wisdom from the Reds, the Whites and the Blues…

The album was conceptualized, composed and recorded from July 2020 to February 2021 Travel restrictions still prevented face-to-face collaboration which required on-line exchanges to instruct, arrange, record, polish and finalize the songs.The songs were composed in Yangon, Myanmar, where RC Seeb has been stationed for overseas work since Nov 2019 – around the time Plan Z was released. Mainly composed using an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar and MIDI keyboards, the songs encapsulate the creative outpouring from daily encounters, relationships and current events.Similar to the Plan Z and “Pan de coco, Pan de sal, Pan de mic” albums, this album is a mix of different genres with the intention of minimizing restrictions on the artistic expression of emotions and social commentary of the lyrics, rhythms and melodies. From the jazzy “Enough”, bluesy “Yangon blues”, emotional “20 years” and upbeat “Sofia” the album presents a spectrum of aural adventure across the palate of music afficionados. The album also features stripped down version of 2 songs from the second album: “Eyes only for you piano” and “Melancholic noise acoustic” to provide a different angle to the love song aspect of these songs.As with any other artist, the art we produce is an extension of ourselves. Appreciation of such output, no matter how crude or raw, is in all essence the reason why these songs were crafted. For what is a sight for if not to behold; what then is music if not intended to be heard.
