Hsiao's song was composed in memory of the 1947 uprising against the government, specifically the Feb. 28 (or 228) Incident in 1947. In "1947 Overture", ILL MO collaborates with Yang Shu-ya and Dwagie, while each offers a different perspective and approach to the 228 Incident, they hope that the historical event will be remembered. 228 Incident can be forgiven but not forgotten.
