取自台灣早期的走唱形式，音樂採用歌仔戲的江湖調、雜唸調，兩個調在民間市井廣為流傳，販夫走卒皆能隨口哼唱的曲調。尤其江湖調，更是本土唸歌說唱的招牌曲，〈藍掉江湖〉是「藍。掉」以音樂行走江湖的開場白。

He plays the Hen-na fiddle like you've never seen
We thank him, for generously humoring us as we try to become familiar with Taiwanese opera music
Today, we are going to play a tune called "Island Song"
