As they crossed the ocean, European navigators found in the new world, people who lived in a forgotten time... They took possession of lands that did not belong to them, conquered and decimated entire civilizations in search of gold, silver and glory. More than that, they robbed the innocence and humanity of the forest peoples, who for millennia had lived in harmony with nature. Requiem also known as the “Mass for the Dead” is an ancient tradition of the Catholic Church, offered for the repose of the soul of one or more deceased persons. Over the centuries, the term has also been applied to musical compositions associated with death and mourning, even when they lack religious or liturgical relevance. Here the reference is made to all indigenous nations, forests, animals and dreams that have been destroyed by the violence and ambition of the conquerors, leaving a warning message to humanity to care for and protect those who still fight for their survival.
